Management Team

Alistair Munro, Chairman and CEO

Alistair is a professional with a long career in the power and water sector.  He is responsible for the strategic direction and performance of Gaia Wind.

Alistair is the owner of a range of companies involved in the power and water business and has strategic investment interest in 4 Navitas for vertical axis wind generators. 

A graduate of Paisley University and an alumni of IMD, Lausanne, Alistair works from the group companies international offices in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

John Gallacher, Commercial Director & General Manager

John is responsible for establishing Gaia-Wind as the world market leader in small wind generation and is now acting as Commercial Director and General Manager.

John has previously worked as Sales Director and VP of Sales for a number of market-leading industrial brands. An expert in strategy, he has held some fairly transformational roles and has time and again worked with existing teams to deliver outstanding results and ultimately cash generation.

A graduate of Paisley University John has returned to Scotland after a number of years in far-reaching global roles.

Malcolm Kelly, General Counsel

With over 25 years’ international business law experience, Malcolm has been a senior in-house legal adviser in a UK FTSE 250 international engineering group, including several commercial roles within operating businesses.

He has international experience in the UAE, India and China and is a solicitor and notary public. Malcolm's areas of expertise include commercial contracts, corporate acquisitions, claims and litigation, and corporate governance.


David Maguire, Chief Financial Officer

A Chartered accountant with 35 years of experience in a range of industries, David is a former KPMG Manager, Partner in a London accountancy and audit practice, Finance Director of a UK nationwide building construction supplies group of companies and Chief Financial Officer of a group supplying purification systems used for power, oil and gas, municipal and industrial water applications.


Kerr Gossman, Technical Sales Manager

Kerr has 4 years in sales, incorporating experience in the petrochemical and defence industries with a variety of disciplines, including that of manufacturing technician within Optronics.

As Technical Sales Manager, Kerr will be an integral part of the Gaia-Wind sales organisation and will be responsible for providing technical leadership, market intelligence and competitive analysis in order to develop the company and identify sales opportunities in both existing and emerging markets. He will proactively fulfill the needs of both the customer and the company to drive business growth for the future.


Owen Paterson, Operations Manager 

Owen Paterson has been involved in Renewable energy since March 2011 and manages the operations & supply chain areas of the business. He has an MBA from Strathclyde University, a BEng in Mechanical Design from Nottingham Trent and many years’ experience in project management and delivery across a number of sectors.


Archie Russell, Business Development Executive

Archie has recently graduated from the University of Cambridge, Judge Business School as a Master of Philosophy in technology policy.

Previous to this, Archie graduated from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, with a 1st class honors degree in mechanical engineering. Throughout his degrees, Archie tapered his classes to work on numerous sustainable development projects and focused his dissertation on renewable energy, specifically onshore wind power. From this, he has been able to gain extensive knowledge in the renewable energy sector. This combination of both technical and business expertise is now being utilised within Gaia-Wind to grow and develop the business both within and out-with the UK.


Fraser Galbraith, Senior Project Engineer

A civil and environmental engineer with 6 years’ experience working in the water and power industry executing design projects and implementing infrastructure master planning. He is an established professional engineer, with a broad knowledge of renewable energy, thermal/membrane desalination and storm/waste water management.

In addition to his expertise in engineering design, Fraser also has comprehensive site experience gained while working on reverse osmosis and sewerage treatment plants were he evaluated, restored, optimized and supervised the operation and maintenance of both types of plants in Dubai.


Dominic Johnston, Project Engineer

Dominic recently graduated from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, with a 1st class master’s  degree in mechanical engineering. He has occupied several engineering positions in the Middle East, working on major construction projects in both the UAE and Sultanate of Oman. Dominic has received extensive on-site training and experience while working on seawater desalination, sewerage treatment and electrochlorination projects.
