Johnnie Andringa, CEO

Johnnie Andringa is widely recognised as one of the leading figures in the small wind turbine industry, with expertise developed from over 20 years hands-on experience working in both engineering and business development roles in 'entrepreneurial organisations with global aspirations'.

In September 2006, Johnnie became the leading investor in Danish small wind turbine manufacturers Gaia-Wind and moved the company headquarters to Scotland. As Managing Director Johnnie has led the international expansion of the business and the drive for innovative research and development that have propelled Gaia Wind to a world leading position in the small wind industry. 

He is a champion of renewables and small wind turbines in particular, speaking and writing on all aspects of the sector.

Hans Ole Lørup

Born in Norway, Supply Chain Director Hans Ole holds an engineering degree from Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh and a Sloan Masters from London Business School.  A co-owner and board member of Gaia-Wind since 2006, he is responsible for managing the company’s daily business activities in Denmark and the Scandinavian region, as well as outsourced manufacturing and supply chain management. 

Having worked in various Oil & Gas asset management positions with BP Plc and Amoco Corporation, Hans Ole brings wide experience from the energy sector to Gaia-Wind. This included roles as supply chain manager, asset delivery manager, offshore field manager, as well as R&D and technical specialist roles in Europe and in the US.
