Operations Manager

Heavily focussed on meeting customer demands you will have overall responsibilty of ensuring  the delivery of wind turbines to the end customer. 

As part of the company’s Management Team, day to day responsibilities will include:

• Leading and managing the Operations team, directing to completion  Contracts, Installation, Service, Deliveries and Training
• Ensuring effective delivery of targets, budgets & management of the resources of the Operations Team
• Liaising with Sales, Supply Chain, Production and Logistics to manage customer and distributor orders to completion
• Ensuring delivery schedules/plans are set up, communicated and met 
• Expedition of all operational enquiries from customers, distributors, installers and contractors, ensuring they are addressed and concluded to the required standard
• Managing warranty and customer issues to satisfactory completion
• Capturing and monitoring ‘recurring issue’ trends, ensuring solutions are proposed and implemented
• Directing and managing the Health and Safety ethos of the Operations functions.

Reporting to the CEO, the successful applicant will ideally:

• Be qualified in an engineering discipline (electrical/mechanical/civil) with a qualification or demonstrable practical experience in managing an operations team or function
• Have demonstrable relevant experience in customer service and project management, in a commercial environment (preferably in the renewable energy sector)
• Have good commercial skills to manage operations team as a profit centre
• Have a strong customer focus and well developed organisational skills
• Bring a professional approach with highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience of using customer relationship databases would be advantageous
• Have a hands-on approach with a ‘can-do’ attitude
• Have the confidence to assertively manage several parties to meet expectations and strict deadlines.
